white paper patches.

Above:
life drawing on wood with compressed charcoal and gesso.

Below:

I'm only in the mood for some of the things on the pages.
So I'm editing in the most amazingly technological sort of a way. With scraps of paper.

RHS:
life drawing + acrylic.

LHS:
life drawing + shirt and tie + sheer.

Above:
I wanted to use markers, because watercolours have been a bit stressy.
other things: left: person from uni, old french man that i have seen on the train three times with an MX wrapped and elastic-banded around his umbrella. some gnomes, a spoon in a sugar bowl, my glass of water, the little green circles from the ink of my calligraphy pen - i forgot to wash it. - a blanket with a hole in a gallery, its shadow, a cat from a film, four faces as portraits and then as masks.

Below:
The colours are from the above. So the picture colours are reversed. It turns out the colours still come through on thick paper. Which is fine - colouring both pages at once. Masks without edges.

Next:

so many bubbles.

feet equinox.

*names post after captcha*

this is a page.
it starts off with triangles made of watercolour. it then discusses painty splatterings on the work bench in the sculpture studio. then weaving. then ideas for sculpture - wire ideas. also louise bourgeois.

and two ladies with joined hair.

and the shell of a spider.

i saw a lady on the train and she had an amazing profile. so she is top left with squid hair. and then one to the right with fish hair.
also the pretty model from lifedrawing with red hair. emma jayne.
and snail hair. and a fish hand. and still life hair.

*leaves out a page or two*

after her status of despair, jess has another try at watercolouring the impossible paper. and finds it to be bordering less impossible.

original arts:
amedeo modigliani
Nude, c.1912
parmigianino
The Madonna with the Long Neck, c.1532

half watching movies, half watercolour.

*takes a bite from a curious bread and spreads crumbs over sketchbook. at least they sound nice.*

i adore this.
it is plate 1 of nine engravings by louise bourgeois. titled: he disappeared into complete silence, 1947.

Once there was a girl and she
loved a man.
They had a date next to the
eighth street station of the sixth
avenue subway.
She had put on her good clothes
and a new hat. Somehow he could
not come. So the purpose of this
picture is to show how beautiful
she was. I really mean that she
was beautiful.

and this will be my last moleskine upload for the day.
i have glass uploads coming up.

drawing class at uni = collage. so this is the happiest result of my second session of doing collage. at least since being a lot smaller and a lot more anti-collage.
goodevening from jess.

watercolouring your feet.

closer up.
far-ther away.

these are small and pen and watercolour. he depicted: the nice security guard from the ron mueck exhibition. the one who was happy to have jess sitting on the floor. not the one who wasn't. i can't stand and draw so easily.
his legs are on the left and his head is on the right.

Fridge.

Mmmmm welcome.
*flicks through fonts*
*isn't thrilled*
I want it to be handwritten.
Maybe I will do that next time.

GreenJelly in the fridge.
Naked Lady.

some sort of a black fineliner with inks.

journey:
more drawing. more. MORE.
more experimental. less colour and more colour.
